At Honeyslug, we strive to encourage the youth of today to put down their hoodies and happy slaps and get involved in video games development through our innovative “work experience” scheme.
This week we had Dana in for a week of hard slog, which comprised of the following:

- Scripting an adventure based around Brent Cross Shopping Centre
- Screen grabbing pictures of Miley Cyrus & Cheryl Cole
- Drawing with felt tips
- Painting game backgrounds without the use of a computer art package
- Coming up with the concept of Frogs stealing footballs during a design meeting
- Level scripting exploding animals
So if you’re finished with exams/school and are looking for something to fill the gap between Jeremy Kyle and the evening showing of Neighbours, or you’re a parent just wishing your child won’t come home stinking of cheap supermarket cider each evening, why not consider Honeyslug for “work experience”.
*Thanks to Dana for being a good sport, she’s been an excellent accomplice for Nat and we hope she’s enjoyed her week learning about games dev Honeyslug style.

That’s cool, that you’re have made some time to do such thing, giving kids a chance to gain some experience and learn a bit of the process of game development. I’m certainly like to do some work experience with you guys!
